OnlLVs that can be mapped into a corresponding field in t
neighbors table are decoded. All other TLVs are discarded ( Unrecognized CDP
TLVs and discarded CDP frame are not shown in the LLDP statistic. Only ).
TLVs are mapped intneighbors table as shown below.
TLV "Device ID" is mapped into th"Chassis ID" field.
TLV "Address" is mapped into the"Management Address" field. The
address TLV can contain multiple addresses, but only the first address is
shown in tneighbors table.
TLV "Port ID" is mapped into th"Port ID" field.
TLV "Version and Platform" is mapped into t"System Description"
field.
Both thansupports "system capabilities", but tcapabilities
cover capabilities that are not part of t These capabilities are shown as
"others" in tneighbors table.
If all ports havawareness disabled the switch forwarframes
received from neighbor devices. If at least one port hasawareness enabled
aframes are terminated by the switch.
Note: Wheawareness for a port is disabled tinformation isn't
removed immediately, but will be removed when the hold time is exceeded.
•
Port Descr
Optional TLV: When checked the "port description" is included in LLDP
information transmitted.
•
Sys Name
Optional TLV: When checked the "system name" is included in LLDP information
transmitted.
•
Sys Descr
Optional TLV: When checked the "system description" is included in LLDP
information transmitted.
• Sys Capa
Optional TLV: When checked the "system capability" is included in LLDP
information transmitted.
The system capabilities identifies the primary function(s) of the system and
whether or not these primary functions are enabled. The information advertised
by this TLV is described in IEEE 802.1AB.
• Mgmt Addr
Optional TLV: When checked the "management address" is included in LLDP
information transmitted.
The management address protocol packet includes the IPv4 address of the
switch. If no management address is available, the address should be the MAC
address for the CPU or for the port sending this advertisement. The management
address TLV may also include information about the specific interface associated
with this address, and an object identifier indicating the type of hardware
component or protocol entity associated with this address
