Connect 4 to 20 mA (0 to 20 mA) sensors using an external 500
Ω
resistor, as shown above. The resultant impedance to the sensor is
approximately 478
Ω.
The following values result (Based on V = R x I = 478
Ω x 10 mA =
4.8V dc):
• 4 mA = 1.9V dc
• 10 mA = 4.8V dc
• 20 mA = 9.5V dc
