Register password

You can register a password for starting projection.

Enter a 4 digit password.
Enter the password using the pointer buttons [ ] (1) / [ ] (2) / [ ] (3) / [ ] (4) or the number
buttons on the remote control.
The 4-digit password is entered from the left to right digits. When the final digit is entered, the
password is automatically registered.
Press the

MENU

button to abort the registration.

Adjust panel characteristics

Adjust projection to compensate for how long the projector has been used, the projection
environment, and other factors.

Function

Gamma restore

Restore the original gamma if, after the projector has been used for
some time, you notice that tone curves have changed, or if neutral
colors have become tinted. Gamma restore can only be used when the
lamp has been on for approximately 30 minutes or longer.

Adjust panel
temperature

Used when the gamma has changed in response to other changes,
such as changes in ambient temperature.
Compensates for changes in gradation caused by a change in LCOS
panel temperature. This function can only be used after the lamp has
been on for approximately 2 minutes.

Lamp counter

You can reset the lamp counter that indicates the time for lamp replacement.
For details on lamp counter display, see “Replacing the Lamp” (

).

Returns to the factory default without performing
Gamma restore.

Adjust

Restore the original gamma and apply the result.

• Restoring gamma will restore tone curves and neutral colors as

closely as possible to defaults, but original projection cannot be
matched exactly.

• If Gamma restore is performed, the adjustment screen will be

projected for approximately 8 minutes.

• To stop Gamma restore, press the

POWER

or

EXIT

button.

Cancellation will return the setting to [Off].

Adjust the panels to suit the temperature.

• Do not reset the lamp counter except when you have replaced the lamp. Otherwise,

the lamp counter cannot indicate the correct timing for replacing the lamp.

• Lamps are more likely to rupture once the lamp replacement message has been

displayed (

P171

). Replace the lamp with a new one as soon as possible.
