Editing the Each Count Amount for a UOM

The Each Count amount for an item’s UOM is set in the Each Count field
in the Units of Measure tab of the Item Data form.

Because editing the “each count” amount for a unit of measure will change
your on-hand quantity amounts for the item, a dialog box appears when
you edit the Each Count amount for an item’s unit of measure, asking you
if you are sure you want to change this figure:

If you want to change the Each Count amount for a UOM, click Yes to
close the dialog box, implement the change, and clear the form.

If you do not want to change the Each Count amount for a UOM, click
No to cancel the change. The dialog will close and your cursor will be
in the Each Count field for the UOM you are editing.
Press the <ESC> key on your keyboard to default to the previous num-
ber, if desired; the previous number returns and the record resets;
—Or—
Re-enter the desired number in the Each Count field. When you are
ready to tab off this section of the form, or when you click the Save
button, the dialog box appears again, asking you if you wish to change
the Each Count amount. Click Yes to change the amount, reset the
record, and close the dialog box.

Deleting an
Item Record

If you need to delete an item from the database you may do so from the
Item Data form. Be aware of the database constraints: you cannot delete an
item record if it is part of inventory. If you try to delete an item that is part
of inventory, a dialog box appears indicating that this item is in inventory
and cannot be deleted. The item must be removed from inventory before it
can be deleted.
