If the Location criteria is selected, the retrieved data in the form lists
the items stored in the location, the item’s UOM, on hand quantity, and
inventoried quantity, if available.
Adding an
Item to a
Location Though it is preferred to add an item to a location and increase or decrease
it’s quantity as part of a physical count, in some instances, you may want to
add an item to a location at the Inventory Data form. To add an item to a
location from the Inventory Data form, refer to the instructions that follow:
1. To add an item to a location, select the drop-down arrow in the Item #
field and select the item you want to add from the list that appears;
—Or—
Select the drop-down arrow in the Location field and select the loca-
tion to which you want to add the item.
2. Next, select the Add button.
If you chose to add an Item # to a location, a new line is added in the
form for this item, and the cursor is automatically placed in the Loca-
tion field. (The Site and Item # fields are assigned values based upon
the existing system data.) In the newly added line, click the drop-down
arrow in the Location field to assign a location to this item.
If you chose to add a Location to an item #, a new line is added in the
form for this location, and the cursor is automatically placed in the
Item # field. (The Site and Location fields are automatically assigned
values based upon the existing system data.) In the newly added line,
click the drop-down arrow in the Item # field and select the location for
this item number from the drop-down list that appears.
3. Press the <Tab> key to advance to the UOM field.
