2.

By using the IntelliTrack Utilities

Database
Backup and
Restore with
SQL Server

Your ISRP v8.1 application is a client server system using SQL Express or
SQL Server to handle the database and Microsoft Access to handle much
of the application. For optimum system performance, it is a good idea to
regularly back up your database. You are able to back up and restore a back
up from SQL Management Studio. For more information, please see

“Data-

base Backup and Restore with SQL Server/SQL Express” on page 277

IntelliTrack
Backup and
Restore
Utilities

IntelliTrack backup and restore batch utilities may be used to perform a
daily database backup and a restore on the last backup. (The
databackup folder in your program directory must have proper permis-
sions in order to create a backup database with the backup utility. Make
sure that the databackup folder has the proper permissions: please refer
to

“Databackup Folder Permissions” on page 201

.)

Use the Backup and Restore batch utilities to perform a daily database
backup and restore on the last backup.

These utilities are found in your program folder:
C:\Program Files\IntelliTrack\ISRP\backup.bat
C:\Program Files\IntelliTrack\ISRP\restore.bat

To create a backup, double-click the backup utility file backup.bat.
A backup file of the database called backup.dat is placed in the
databackup folder in the ISRP program directory.

To restore the most recent database backup file found in the databackup
folder in your ISRP directory, double-click the restore utility file
