History, Queries, and Reports

History

The history logging function keeps a running history of all transactions
performed within the Inventory database. This feature is useful for identi-
fying inventory trends and for auditing purposes. History can only be
viewed if the history switch is turned on during setup; refer to

“Setting Sys-

tem Options” on page 59

.

Complete the following steps to view the history log:

1.

Select Reports Command Tab > Reports group > History option from
the ribbon. The History Details form appears.

2.

From the History Details form, select the site (if activated) to view his-
tory transactions by or select (All) from the Site pull-down list to view
all transactions in the history file.

History data can also be viewed and/or printed using the supplied history
reports. To view these reports:

1.

From the Command Tab Bar, select the Reports Command Tab >
Reports Command Set > Reports Selection to open a list of reports.

2.

Select a History report; define the selection criteria. Filter History
reports with items or date ranges (refer to

“Reports” on page 141

).

Note: History Logging keeps track of virtually all transactions, including
those generated on the portable bar code readers; therefore the history file
