The DMS 8.1 Interface
DMS 8.1 uses the Microsoft Access 2007 or 2010 runtime (*for Microsoft
Access 2010, 32-bit version only). It contains a ribbon along the top of the
screen. Use the ribbon to navigate through the application and open appli-
cation forms. The example below shows the Ribbon tabs; they include:
Manage, Local Site Settings, Reports, Import, Tools, Portable, and
Help.
In the example below, the Tools tab is selected, showing Tools tab group
selections available in the Tools tab ribbon.
When you select a Tab, ribbon options appear underneath the Tab. The
options are related to the tab. Each group of options contains selections
that directly open application forms as Tabbed windows in the Work Area
of the screen. If you don’t want the full ribbon always displayed, click the
Customize Quick Access Toolbar button to the right of the Office button
to minimize the ribbon. When you minimize the ribbon, it only appears
when you select a Command tab.
