System Users

System users are added by the Administrator. Each user is assigned an
access level, which grants or denies the user access to security privileges.
For more information about setting up system users, please refer to

“Main-

taining System Users” on page 68

.

Important: To define or modify security rights you must have administra-
tor access to the application.

Activating
Security

Security is not enabled at application startup. After you set security access
privileges and add users, make sure that security is activated.

1.

Select Tools > Setup > Setup option from the ribbon.

2.

When the Setup form appears, click the Options button.

The Options portion of the form appears to the front.

3.

Make sure the Security Enabled check box is marked. (This means
that security is activated for your system.)

4.

Select the Close button to close the form and enable security. Users
have the access rights based upon the security privilege level for the
user access level.
