Prior work with databases is helpful. If you are not experienced in working
with databases, and are unsure about any of the steps involved in the setup
process, contact your network administrator for help.

Creating a Data Source Name (DSN)

Before you begin setting up the import and export maps, you must create a
Data Source Name (DSN) for your WMS database, so that UPS WorldShip
and IntelliTrack WMS can communicate and share data with each other. If
you do not know how to create a DSN, please contact your network admin-
istrator.

Setting Up a
Keyed Import

Important: The import map is set up in the UPS OnLine WorldShip appli-
cation.

To set up a “keyed import” in WMS, you must create an import map in
UPS WorldShip.

Creating and Naming the Import Map

To create an import map, please refer to the instructions that follow:

1.

Select Start > Programs > (UPS) > UPS WorldShip to open the UPS
WorldShip application.

2.

From the topline menu bar, click Import/Export Data > Create / Edit
Map.... The Create or open an import or export map form appears, dis-
playing the existing mappings.
