The WMS 8.1 Interface
WMS 8.1 uses the Microsoft Access 2007 or 2010 runtime (*for
Microsoft Access 2010, 32-bit version only).
WMS 8 uses a ribbon across the top of the screen for application naviga-
tion. The example below shows the tab options in the WMS ribbon: Man-
age, View, Reports, Local Site Settings, Tools, Help.
Use the ribbon to reach application areas. In the example below, the Man-
age tab is selected, showing the options in the Manage tab ribbon.
When you select a Tab in the ribbon, options related to the tab appear in
the ribbon. Select a ribbon option to directly open an application form in
the Work Area of the screen. If you don’t want the full ribbon always dis-
played, click the Customize Quick Access Toolbar button to the right of
the Office button to minimize the ribbon. When you minimize the ribbon,
it only appears when you select a ribbon tab.
The Work Area of the screen contains a Dashboard tabbed window,
which is the default window.
