REGION
Syntax
region region_name
Parameter
region_name
Specifies the name of an MST region. The name can be up to 32
alphanumeric characters. Underscores (_) and hyphens (-) are
permitted. By default, no name is assigned.
Mode
MST Configuration mode
Description
Use this command to name the MST region. When you want a group of
switches to belong to the same region, assign the same MST region name
and the same revision number to these switches.
Note
This command is applicable only when MSTP is enabled.
To delete the MST region name, use the NO REGION command.

Example
This example names the MSTP region named “Test”:
awplus> enable
awplus# configure terminal
awplus(config)# spanning-tree mode mstp
awplus(config)# spanning-tree mst configuration
awplus (config-mst)# region Test
