Monitoring function

Description

EPL frame error (CRC)

Weighted number of received faulty frames

• This error can occur due to very strong EMC interferences or by non-

POWERLINK-compliant nodes.

• Monitoring threshold:

C13115/3

/

C14115/3

• Monitoring response:

C13891/4

/

C14891/4

EPL-Rx PDO contents

This monitoring response defines the way the cyclic process data (PDO) will

be forwarded from the POWERLINK network to the standard device/

application in the event of an error. An error has occurred if no valid process

data is received and a failed Controlled Node is reported to the Managing

Node. The following settings are possible with

C13885

/

C14885

:

• 0: The valid data received last remains.

• 1: All data is set to the value "0".

EPL bootup error

The Managing Node could not set the POWERLINK network to the

"NMT_xx_OPERATIONAL" status.

• Monitoring response:

C13891/2

/

C14891/2

EPL cycle time violation

Weighted number of non-executable POWERLINK cycles.

This error can occur if the network nodes do not behave in a POWERLINK-

compliant way or the Managing Node / the network is overloaded (wrong

POWERLINK cycle time).

• Monitoring threshold:

C13117/3

/

C14117/3

• Monitoring response:

C13891/1

/

C14891/1

EPL failure - slave feedback

If at least one Controlled Node defined via

C13028

/

C14028

has failed, the

set monitoring response (

C13891/5

/

C14891/5

) is executed.
