Setting the Extended Functions of the Sensor
Field Network
Communicates with a PLC via a field network and the status result, etc., can be input to the PLC as
communication data.
For the communication protocol, EtherNet/IP and PROFINET can be selected.
Host device such as PLC
(EtherNet/IP, PROFINET master unit)
EtherNet/IP, PROFINET adapter Sensor
y To use the field network function, select [Network Connection] for the connection setting of the sensor.
During the direct connection, the setting item is shaded and cannot be selected.
y When the protocol setting has been changed, the connection is terminated and the sensor restarts.
y For the details of the field network function, refer to “IV Series User’s Manual (Field Network)”.

Tap the [Settings] button in the “Field
Network”.

Select the protocol.

To enable the handshake control, select
[Enable].
When the protocol is set as [Disable], this
setting item is shaded and cannot be selected.

After the setting is completed, tap the [OK]
button.
The system returns to the Adv. Network Settings
screen.
