PoE configuration example

Network requirements

As shown in

Figure 55

, the device supplies power to PDs through its PoE interfaces, as follows:

The device is equipped with two cards that support PoE and that are inserted in Slot 3 and Slot 5
respectively. The PSE IDs are 10 and 16.

Allocate 400 watts to PSE 10, provided the default maximum power to PSE in PSE 16 can meet the
requirements.

GigabitEthernet 3/1 and GigabitEthernet 3/2 connect to IP telephones.

GigabitEthernet 5/1 and GigabitEthernet 5/2 connect to AP devices.
