Overview

The host traffic statistics module monitors the traffic of hosts in a LAN, and sends statistics reports in the

syslog format to the specified log host. From the log information, the administrator can obtain the number

and bytes of service-specific packets sent/received by each host.
To collect statistics for a service, you need to reference the corresponding service resource. The
unspecified network services are taken as one statistics item.

Configuration prerequisites

Before configuring host traffic statistics, you need to:

Specify the IP address of the log host. For more information, see "Managing logs."

Specify the service resource. For more information, see Access Control Configuration Guide.

Specifying service type

Optional.
Specify the service type for which you want to enable statistics.
You can specify at most 15 service types. If no service type is
configured, all the host traffic will be taken as one service type for

statistics.
By default, no service type is specified.

Configuring basic host traffic statistics
settings

Required.
Enable the host traffic statistics function and configure the statistics
interval.
By default, the host traffic statistics function is disabled.
