What web browser can I use to run the SOM system?
Use IE 8.0 or Firefox 3.6 or later version for optimum performance. The display of some web pages might
vary with the browsers.
What will happen when I refresh a page?
Refreshing a page re-loads data for the page and removes all the existing data on the page. If your
account is not configured with Lock Display, you will enter the home page after refreshing the page. If
your account is configured with Lock Display, you will return to the login page after refreshing the page.
When the right and left arrows occur in the task bar to display multiple tasks, why cannot the window
display the task bar fully?
Do not set the text size to largest.
In the IE, click View > Text Size, and change the size to larger or medium. Close and re-open the browser.
What shall I do when some nodes in the navigation tree are missing or multiple nodes are expanded at
the same time?
Perform the following operations:
• Fold and then expand the available nodes.
• Clear the browser cookies.
• Refresh the browser window.
On the CI type synchronization result page, why does the screen go blank for several seconds when I
click the column header to sort the result entries?
The blank screen occurs because the java script runs slowly in the IE. Use the Firefox 3.6 or later versions.
Why does a field display nothing in the process history area?
If you are using the IE, and a field in a process contains excessive same characters, the problem occurs.
Use Firefox 3.6 or later versions.
Why the SOM in the gray theme cannot clearly display links to details?
H3C recommends using the blue theme.
When I expand the repeated operation steps in a process history area, the words and lines overlap.
How can I avoid the problem?
Expand one step at a time in the operation history.
Why cannot the SOM show the customized grid control every time I log in to the system?
The SOM cannot save your customized grid control settings. Each time you close the system, the system
restores the default settings.
What should I pay attention to when performing a query or filter operation?
Do not use the database reserved characters as the query or filter criteria. For example, do not use
brackets ([ ]) as the query or filter criteria in SQL server databases.
