4.5.37 System > I/O Config > Ethernet Menu

The Ethernet menu provides access to configuration and control functions for the Ethernet interface.

Main Pg 2 > System > I/O Config > Ethernet > DHCP/AutoIP

Description:

Set the state of DHCP/AutoIP system for the Ethernet
port.

If DHCP/AutoIP is enabled (On), the instrument will
attempt to obtain its IP Address, Subnet Mask, and
Default Gateway from a DHCP (dynamic host
configuration protocol) server on the network. If no
DHCP server is found, the instrument will select its
own IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway
values using the ―AutoIP‖ protocol.

If DHCP/AutoIP is disabled (Off), the instrument
will use the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Default
Gateway values that have been entered by the user
(see System > I/O Config > Ethernet > Extensions).
