WARNING!!!
In order to be able to use the joystick to send Pan, Tilt and Zoom controls from the GRAPHICS
environment, you must select the “Joystick On” option button in each map.
Depending on whether the joystick has been enabled or not, when the maps have been
downloaded to the keyboard the Status line (see § 4.1.3 - Main Menu, page 17) may show one
of the following symbols:

Joystick On (Pan, Tilt, Zoom On)

Joystick Off (Pan, Tilt and Zoom Off)

Joystick On (Pan and Tilt On), but Zoom/Focus/Iris functions disabled (see § 4.2.4.5 -
Functions, page 35).

To pass to a later map just select it in the combobox beneath the graphics area.
Once the map has been chosen it will be necessary to :

define the background;

arrange the keys;

assign one or more functions to each key.

Defining the background

The background image can be loaded from a file or designed directly.
Loading a background

Select Images/Import in the Main menu (or click on the

icon in the toolbar).

Select a 320

×240 pixel bitmap image and confirm with the “OK” key.

If the image is too big or in colour instead of in B&W, the system will open a dialog box to inform
you of the need to re-dimension or convert the file.

Designing a background

Select Images/Edit image in the Main menu (or click on

in the toolbar).

Design the background using the tools provided in the “Edit image” window (see § 7.4.3.10 - “Edit
image” window, page 158
).

Click on the

key to save and exit.

The latter procedure can also be used for editing an image that has been loaded from a file.
