Testing the results

At this point the we can save the graphics project and then send it to the keyboard.
To do this, we switch DIPswitch No. 1 on the keyboard to ON and use the serial cable supplied to transfer the
project.
After completing the transfer DIPswitch No.1 is returned to OFF.
To set the keyboard parameters correctly it is now necessary to enter the setup menu by pressing the
appropriate icon as in the illustration.

Key for entering the setup menu

The keyboard should have the following settings:
Setup/COMMUNICATIONS/1-VIDEO/Type:

DVR/MUX

Setup/COMMUNICATIONS/1-VIDEO/Protocol:

FREE MUX/DVR

Setup/COMMUNICATIONS/1-VIDEO/Baudrate:

38400

Setup/COMMUNICATIONS/1-VIDEO/Keyboard No.:

1

On completion the

key is pressed to return to the main menu.

The graphics project has now been fully loaded into the keyboard and can be used.
The RS232 cable and a PC are used to verify correct communication, by pressing each of the buttons that have
just been programmed and analysing the resulting controls received.
The setting for control software, if any, should be 38400/8/N/1, there is no hardware control.

WARNING
RS232 serial communication allows only one-way transmission from the keyboard. Use RS485
serial communication if you want to send controls to the keyboard.
