6.1.1

Routine management of telemetry controls

Telemetry operations are divided into different types:

configuration operations (configuration of receiver/dome, Preset, etc.)

manual movement operations (Pan & Tilt)

automatic movement operations (Autopan, Scan, Patrol, etc.)

lens control operations (Zoom, Focus, Iris)

relay and auxiliary contact control operations.

The keyboard can be used to manage each operation, depending on whether the respective category has been
enabled or not (see § 4.2.4.5 - Functions, page 35). If there is a request for an operation in a disabled group
the display shows an error message.
In the following sections the term “receiver” refers to any device that is to receive telemetry controls.

If there is no video unit connected to the keyboard, the display will show only the keys for sending or
managing telemetry controls.

telemetry is to be managed.

6.1.2.1

Camera and receiver

The video signal from a camera may come from fixed type devices with no control whatsoever or from mobile
devices (mounted on receivers or domes). In the latter case each device can only be controlled if it is
recognised within the system by its unique address.
When a camera is recalled any telemetry controls will be sent to the address associated with that camera.
