Installation Precautions

• Mounting in a Control Panel

To prevent the temperature around the SERVOPACK and the converter from exceed-
ing 55

°C, take into account the size of the control panel, the layout of the SERVO-

PACK and the converter, and the cooling method. For details, refer to 2.3
SERVOPACK and Converter Installation
.

• Mounting Near a Heating Unit

To prevent the temperature around the SERVOPACK and the converter from exceed-
ing 55

°C, suppress radiant heat from the heating unit and temperature rise due to con-

vection.

• Mounting Near a Vibration Source

To prevent vibration from being transmitted to the SERVOPACK and the converter,
install a vibration isolator underneath the SERVOPACK and the converter.

• Mounting to a Location Exposed to Corrosive Gas

Take measures to prevent exposure to corrosive gas. Corrosive gases will not imme-
diately affect the SERVOPACK and the converter, but will eventually cause elec-
tronic components and contactor-related devices to malfunction.
