Reduced Let-Thru Mode

8

If the CPU is power cycled with the Reduced Let-Thru Mode enabled, after power on, this mode
is disabled.

When Reduced Let-Thru Mode is enabled/disabled, an event is displayed is the HMI Sequence of
Events as follows:

• Reduced Let-Thru Mode Initiated
• Reduced Let-Thru Mode Ended

Although the topology 0 settings are user-adjustable, they should ideally have the values
described in sections 8.1.1 through 8.1.3.

Once OK is pressed, the following will be displayed, as shown in Figure 8-2. The message must
be acknowledged before Reduced Let-Thru Mode will take affect.

This message reminds users to disable Reduced Let-Thru Mode before leaving the area,
otherwise it will remain in this mode until disabled.

This message also warns users as to what can happen in the event that one or more
Messengers are not communicating. If a Messenger is not communicating, Entellisys
automatically disables Bus Differential and Multi-Source Ground Fault— for all zones that
include the non-communicating Messenger. Since Reduced Let-Thru only applies when these
functions are enabled, no Messengers in the affected zone(s) will operate at the Reduced Let
Thru Mode settings.

NOTE: Only communicating Messengers in active zones will operate at the Reduced Let-Thru
Mode settings.
