Connectors
(rear) • The 25-pair cable connectors at the back panel
(see Figure 9 on
page 62 ) provide access to the
cross-connect terminal (Main Distribution Frame).
• The AUX port connects a Power Failure Transfer
Unit (PFTU) to the Media Gateway.
• The Attachment Unit Interface (AUI) is used with
earlier version SSC which require a Media Access
Unit (MAU).
• The SDI connector in the Media Gateway
provides an interface for a three-port SDI cable.
For MG 1000E this cable is not used unless
maintenance access using TTY0 is desired.
• The DS-30X and CE-MUX cables connect the
Media Gateway to the Media Gateway Expander.
DIP switches • DIP switches are available to set the ringing
voltages, ringing frequencies, and message
waiting voltages. See Figure 10 on
page 66 .
