8.1 Disabling the Key Operation (Key Lock

Function)

Disable the key operation.
For a description of the function, see section 1.7.

Setup Screen

• Selecting the Key Lock Function

Press

MENU (to switch to setting mode), hold down FUNC for 3 s (to switch to basic

setting mode), and select the

Environment tab > Security, Media save.

• Key Operation to Be Disabled

Press

MENU (to switch to setting mode), hold down FUNC for 3 s (to switch to basic

setting mode), and select the

Menu tab > Keylock > Key action, Media

* On FXs that do not have a CF card slot or USB interface (/USB1 option), the sub menu item

is “Key action.” In addition, the “Media/USB” group of setup items is not displayed.

Keylock

Enables the key lock function. The

Keylock item is displayed in the basic setting

mode menu.

Login

Enables the login function. See section 8.2.

• Keylock > Password

The password used to release the key lock. (Up to 8 characters,

The password is displayed as “********”.

• Key action, Media/USB, or Action of Function

Select whether to lock each item.

Free

Key lock not applied.

Lock

Disables the operation.
