Adding Lifts
There are three ways how to add a lift to the database.
The first way is to install the Central Unit (CU) and program it to call the number which
is used for check calls by the server. The moment the CU makes a check call to the
server, a new lift card is created and completed with basic information on the lift. The
check call phone number is used as the name. Such lift is designated as unauthorised
to eliminate unwanted calls: phone marketing, for example. Use the Basic tab at the lift
in the Control panel to authorise such lift. It is displayed here that a call from phone

The 2N Lift8 Server
®
is able to work with third party equipment too. In
that case, the CPC and P100 universal communication protocols are used
instead of the proprietary protocol. Set the Type parameter to Unknown to
make the 2N Lift8 Server
®
communicate with such equipment.
