connected directly to the PSTN when there is a power failure. Discuss this case
with the technician who looks after the PBX. In the case of a power cut there is a
risk that the L8’s call will go to a different number.
The used PBX lien must have the necessary authorisation configured (it is
necessary to test using for example a regular telephone to see if it is possible to
“out” to all the required numbers).
During programming it is necessary to add the code for calling the PSTN (usually
zero) or (preferably) t ensure such a configuration of the PBX where a code is not
required (so-called automatic connection to telephone line of operator).
For calling in the direction from the control centre to the lift it is necessary to
know the number of the branch and the means of getting through to it (code,
DISA code, operator).
The connection in the direction from the control centre to the lift must not be
dependent on the presence of an operator, during the night there must be no
forwarding to an answering machine etc.
Other recommendations:
it is necessary to agree the financing of operation with the owner of the PBX
(outgoing calls
are charged to it if they are not free calls, to “green lines”).
L8
GSM
This is used in particular where it is not possible to connect up to the PSTN line.
Recommendation:
In places with poor signal quality find an appropriate place or use a special
(directional) antenna.
Protect the SIM card from theft.
If a prepaid SIM card is used, ensure that the credit is monitored and topped up
in time.
UMTS
This is used in particular where it is not possible to connect up to the PSTN line. If Lift8
is connected using UMTS, the system can be configured remotely using the service tool
program.
Recommendation:

Operation without SIM card or PSTN line:
L8 can be used as an intercom at the time of fitting of the lift even without an
