SIP Settings
Every user, no matter whether a technician or dispatcher, must be assigned a SIP line,
i.e. have an account with the SIP provider or own PBX. This account is registered and
used for login via the
. Whenever the user logs in, its line

gets registered and the user can process the calls coming to its number depending on
the
system configuration. When an alarm call is coming, the dispatcher

account number will probably be dialled. Every dispatcher can then contact the
technician. Refer to Section 8,
, for more details. Use the

Communicator
following parameters to set a SIP line. The most relevant parameter is Domain, which
is the address of the server to which the SIP Client logs in. Enter the IP address or the
domain name of the SIP Proxy server. Port 5060 is used for registration by default. If
your provider uses another port, enter this port to the Domain parameter behind a
colon as shown in the figure below. Furthermore, set the Username and Password for
the SIP account at the provider's or in the PBX. Click Save for confirmation.
