4.3 Description of function (for advanced users)
Aim of this chapter
This chapter is intended for the resolution of any problems. If the system does not
work correctly, and a qualified technician is capable of monitoring its activity point by
point according to this description, he will reach the point where the description and
reality part ways. Then he can describe this discrepancy, which speeds up the
identification of the cause greatly. Often in this way it is discovered that the system
works right, but the user had a different idea about its function.
Outgoing call
The process is initiated with the ALARM button on any announcer (in the case of
announcers for a cabin the input CANCEL can delay or block the making of a call, see
parameter 914). After pressing the button ALARM,
connects with the control centre L8
(for details see automatic dialling). plays the announcement “please wait, I am L8
making the connection” to the person in the lift and the instruction for the control
centre: “for confirmation press 1”.
The call must be confirmed manually or automatically. The call is time limited (warning
announcement “caution, the call is ending”, but it can be extended. Control during the
call (DTMF dialling) is described in the chapter “Instructions for control centre”.
Calling from machine room
It is possible to call from the machine room (more precisely – from a machine room
type announcer, order No 918611E) to any other announcer of the same
. It is also L8
possible to activate various services and programme the configuration. Entry to the L8
voice menu in the machine room is activated by pressing (longer than 2s). The
button “triphony” can be used for connection with other announcers of the same lift. If
I press the triphony button (longer than 2s), I get the voice menu and can put together
triphony with other shafts.
