Configuring VLAN Trunk Protocol (VTP) Snooping

VTP is a layer 2 protocol developed by Cisco to maintain VLAN
configuration consistency among its switches. VTP only runs over
trunk ports that have enabled either Cisco Inter-Switch Link (ISL) or
IEEE 802.1Q tagging. By using VTP snooping, you can allow your
Cajun switch to synchronize its VLAN configuration with that of a
Cisco switch that is running VTP in the same network.

VLAN additions, deletions, and name changes made on the
network’s Cisco VTP server are automatically updated on Cajun
switches that have VTP Snooping enabled and are connected to the
Cisco VTP server. VLAN changes made on a Cajun switches are not
automatically updated on any other switch.

* Note: VTP Snooping is Disabled by default. You only need to

change VTP Snooping port settings if you want to Enable
its ability to learn VLAN changes on a Cisco VTP server.

You can configure VTP snooping using either the web agent or the
CLI
