Using the CLI

To configure a RADIUS client using the CLI, enter the following
command from Configure mode:

> set radius authentication <parameters>

Table 8-1. RADIUS Dialog Box Configuration Parameters

Parameter

Definition

Enable State

Enable or disable RADIUS on the switch.

Primary Server

IP Address - Enter the primary server IP address for

RADIUS.

Shared Secret - Enter the primary server shared

RADIUS secret. This value is encrypted.

Secondary Server

IP Address - Enter the secondary server IP address

for RADIUS.

Shared Secret - Enter the secondary server shared

RADIUS secret. This value is encrypted.

Source IP Address

Enter the network access server IP address.

Realm

Enter an ASCII name that will differentiate users. This
name will be appended to the user name.

Group

Enter an ASCII name that will differentiate group users.

Retry Number

Enter the number of times to re-send the Authentication
Request if there is no response.

Retry Time

Enter the time (in seconds) to wait before re-sending an
Authentication Request.

UDP Port

Enter the UDP port number. The default value is 1812.

Avaya-Service-Type
Required

Enable or disable whether the service type to be granted to
a user is sent in an Access-Accept packet. This setting
ensures that the switch will not incorrectly allow access to
users that may already be set-up on the RADIUS server.
