2.

Remove bearing assembly (A) and seal (B) from roller
tube (C) as follows:

a.

Attach a slide hammer (D) to threaded shaft (E) in
bearing assembly.

b.

Tap out the bearing assembly (A) and seal (B).

3.

Clean inside of roller tube (C). Check tube for wear or
damage and replace if necessary.

4.

Install new bearing assembly (A) into roller by pushing
on outer race of bearing. The bearing is fully positioned
when the 9/16 in. (14 mm) dimension (B) is achieved.

5.

Apply the recommended grease in front of bearing.

page 115

6.

Locate seal (C) at roller opening, and position a flat
washer (1.0 in. I.D. x 2.0 in. O.D.) on seal.

7.

Tap seal into roller opening with a suitable socket on
the washer until it seats on the bearing assembly (A).
The seal (C) is fully positioned when the 1/8 in. (3 mm)
dimension (D) is achieved.
