Use the following table to identify Transfer Utility problems you
may encounter due to driver selection.
Problem Cause What to do
The Rockwell Software RSLinx communication
software is not currently running.
This software package is required in order to
perform file transfers.
(Error 4300) RSLinx communication software is not
installed. Install RSLinx.
The selected driver is a Rockwell Software
RSLinx network driver.
Use the RSLinx software package in order to
configure the communication network driver.
(Error 4331) The driver in RSLinx is not configured. Use the RSLinx communication software to
configure the driver.
Incorrect routing address could corrupt data in a
non-PanelView device.
Verify the correct address has been specified.
Do you want to continue?
(Warning 4332) This will occur for network and Remote I/O
transfers. The routing address may be
incorrect. Check that the address is correct. Choose
Yes to continue. Choose No to cancel.
The driver is not properly configured.

(Error 4341) An invalid device was selected. Select a Pass-Through device, or press
Cancel.
The selection must be a PanelView terminal for
network transfers.
(Error 4342) An invalid device was selected. Select a PanelView terminal, or press
Cancel.
Consult the following table to identify and respond to some common
error messages that can appear on the screen when you upload or
download data, or upload Alarm History files.
