Install Switch Module in Cab
Refer to Figure 145 (dimensions are inches)
22. From the bundle:
833-294C 40P PNT RW CLTCH CNTRL & HRNSS
select the cab control module.
23. Choose a tractor cab location where the module
does not obstruct vision, and the switches can be
safely operated during planting passes.
24. Route the power leads to a source of +12 Vdc
power capable of supplying 12.6A (3S) or 8.4A (2S).
Color code is red+, black-. Direct battery connection
is acceptable; the controller module has its own mas-
ter switch and fuse.
25. Use 1 tie to secure the power lead.
26. Route the controller harness to the tractor hitch.
Use 2 ties to secure the hitch lead.
Adjust Height Switch
Refer to Figure 146
27. Hitch the drill to the tractor. With drill still lowered,
raise the row units until opener disks are above 1in
(2.5cm) above ground level.
28. Adjust switch in bracket slots until actuator
arm touches the subframe tool bar . Continue
adjusting until the actuator clicks the switch. Tighten
the #8 nuts
at that point (to Grade 2 spec.).
29. Lower row units. Lift switch actuator by hand until it
clicks (to ensure operating point is not too low).
