Configuring TACACS+ Server Information

Beginning in Privileged EXEC mode, use the following commands to specify

TACACS+ server settings on the switch.

show radius statistics

[[accounting |

authentication]

{

ipaddress | hostname |

name

servername}]

View the RADIUS statistics for the switch. You can specify

additional information to narrow the scope of the

command output.

accounting | authentication — The type of server

(accounting or authentication).

ipaddress — The RADIUS server host IP address.

hostname — Host name of the Radius server host

(Range: 1–158 characters).

servername — The alias used to identify the server.

Purpose

Enter Global Configuration mode.

tacacs-server host {

ip-

address |hostname}

Configure a TACACS+ server and enter into the

TACACS+ configuration mode.

key [

key-string]

Set the authentication and encryption key for all

TACACS+ communications between the switch and the

TACACS+ server.

NOTE:

You can also use the tacacs-server key [

key-string]

command in Global Configuration mode to set the same

authentication and encryption key for all configured

TACACS+ servers.

priority

priority

Specify the order in which the servers are to be used, with

0 being the highest priority. The range is 0-65535, with 0

being the highest priority.

<CTRL + Z>

Exit to Privileged EXEC mode.

show tacacs [

ip-address] View the configuration and statistics of all configured

TACACS+ servers or a specific server.
