After the POP3 Gateway files are installed, the POP3 Gateway Setup program
will run. This allows you to configure the gateway with mail server and mailbox
information. See below for details on configuring the gateway.
2.9.1.4.3 Verify Functionality
By sending a manually constructed email to the fax server, you can verify that
email is successfully making it through your mail server to NET SatisFAXtion.
Simply compose an email and address it similar to '5550123'
<[email protected]> . Replace the “5550123” with a real fax number, and
“[email protected]” with the POP3 mailbox you assigned in the previous
steps.
You should receive an email back from the fax server stating that the fax was
sent successfully.
If you receive an error that is clearly from NET SatisFAXtion (and not your mail
server), that is OK (for now), since this indicates the email configuration is
working and the notification did make it correctly back through the mail system
to you.
2.9.1.5 Configuring the POP3 Gateway
The POP3 Gateway is configured through the POP3 Gateway Setup program
found in the Start menu under Start ► Programs ► NET SatisFAXtion ►
POP3 Gateway Setup.
