Configuring DNS to Allow Off-Site Access

If it off-site users need to send faxes, typically all that is required is the fax
domain be published in DNS. Add an

A

record that points to the fax server’s

public IP (for HTTP client access, see

3.1.2.1 Using HTTP Clients over the

Internet

). Also add an

MX

record for the fax domain that points to your Exchange

mail server.

Note that the FaxOut Client Suite adds buttons to Outlook that create addresses
in the proper format automatically.
