This chapter covers matters specifically for 23 ppm copier.
Please refer this chapter, as well as other chapters in the instruction handbook, if you purchased a 23 ppm
copier.
● Multi-Bypass
The multi-bypass described on page 8 and page 12 ( ⁄ on page 8) is an optional equipment. When copying
onto transparencies or paper which cannot be set in the drawer, install the multi-bypass.
When using the hand-out mode (page 27) or the sheet copy (page 29), install the multi-bypass.
● Program mode
Up to three combinations of copy modes and functions can be registered in the program mode (page 45
and page 46).
● Copier management
The total number of copies made by each department can be managed for up to 250 departments in the
copy management mode (page 49).
● Management code
Enter "2300" for the management code described on the second paragraph on page 50, the third paragraph
on page 57 and the third paragraph on page 62.
The management code can be changed. See "
8 MANAGEMENT CODE ENTRY" on page 64.
* The following item applies only in Australia and New Zeeland.
● Image storage memory
The image storage memory is necessary to store the scanned images for editing and processing.
The 23 ppm copier is not equipped with the image storage memory. If the general purpose SIMM is
installed, functions described below can be used.
* Up to two 16 MB or 32 MB general purpose SIMMs (Maximum capacity is 64 MB) can be installed.
