Radio frequency energy

Your phone is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed and manufactured, so as not to exceed the
limits for exposure to radio-frequency ( RF ) energy, as recommended by the International standards.
These limits are part of comprehensive guidelines and establish permitted levels of RF energy for the
general population. The guidelines were developed by independent scientifi c organizations through
periodic and thorough evaluation of scientifi c studies. The limits include a substantial safety margin
designed to ensure the safety of all persons, regardless of age and health.

The  exposure  standard  for  phones  employs  a  unit  of  measurement  known  as  SAR  ( Specifi c
Absorption Rate ). Your SAR level phone has been designed and controlled to be compliant with the
recommended standards.
This phone has been designed to comply with applicable safety requirements for exposure to radio
waves. These requirements are based on scientifi c guidelines that include safety margins designed
to assure the safety of all persons, regardless of age and health.

• The  radio  wave  exposure  guidelines  employ  a  unit  of  measurement  known  as  the  Specifi c
Absorption Rate, or SAR. Tests for SAR are conducted using standardised methods with the phone
transmitting at its highest certifi ed power level in all used frequency bands.
• While there may be differences between the SAR levels of various TAG Heuer LINK mobile phones,
they are all designed to meet the relevant guidelines for exposure to radio waves.
• The SAR limit recommended by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection
( ICNIRP ) is 2W/kg averaged over 10 g of tissue.
• The highest SAR value for this model phone tested according to the EN 62209-1, prior use at the ear
is 0.860 W/kg ( 10g ) and when worn on the body is 0.687W/Kg ( 10 g ). The phone has been shown
to be capable of compliance with the SAR limits specifi ed in European Council Recommendation
1999 519 EC.
