Sending SMS and MMS messages
Messaging lets you compose and send text (SMS) and multimedia messages (MMS) to other
phones.
Open Messaging
1. Press
, then touch
.
2. Touch on the Messaging icon and the
message list appears.
You can compose text (SMS) messages of up to 160 characters. If you continue to type after the
limit is reached, your message will be delivered as one, but count as more than one message.
These are called concatenated messages.
Multimedia messages, also known as MMS, can contain text and a picture, a recorded voice, an
audio fi le, or a picture slideshow.
Note: Messaging automatically converts a text message into a multimedia message when you
entered an email address into the “ To ” fi eld, added a message subject, or attached an item.
Create and send an SMS
1. On the Messaging screen, touch “ New message ”. The “ Compose ” screen opens.
2. Enter the phone number of the message recipient in the “ To ” fi eld. As you enter the phone
