Entering I, J, K in relative values

If you enter the circle center with relative coordi-
nates, you have defined it relative to the last
programmed tool position.

• The circle center I, J, K also serves as pole for polar coordinates.

• I, J, K defines a position as a circle center. The resulting contour is located on the circle, not on the circle

center.

To program a circle center (pole):

Select the coordinate axis for the circle center.

Enter the coordinate for the circle center on this axis, for example
I = 20 mm.

Select the second coordinate axis, for example J.

Enter the coordinate of the circle center, for example J = –10 mm.

Resulting NC block: I+20 J–10 *
