NOTE:

To use the management address as the source address for a ping, you must specify it
using the -I option on the

ping

command. For example, to use management address

192.168.1.2 when pinging destination address 192.168.100.100, specify:

ping -I 192.168.1.2 192.168.100.100

NOTE:

To use the management address as the source address for a copy, you must specify
both the source and destination addresses on the

copy

command.

To list the current management address for the remote router, if any, use the

remote

list

. To set a management address for an Ethernet interface, see

eth ip mgmt

.
