2.12.1 Insulation Resistance Test

Perform a test using a DC 500 V insulation resistance tester and confirm that the
standards below are met.

Procedure

Input Terminals to Earth Terminals

1.

Short all terminals A, B, and b on channels 1 through 10, then measure the

insulation resistance between the terminals and the screws on the rear panel.

Between Input Terminals

2.

Measure the insulation resistance between a device whose terminals A and B on

channels 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 are all shorted and a device whose terminals A and B
on channels 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 are all shorted.

3.

Confirm that the standards below are met.

Test Points

DC500 V, 20 MΩ or more

Output terminal to earth terminal

DC500 V, 20 MΩ or more

2.12.2 Withstanding Voltage Test

Apply the AC voltages below in a withstanding voltage test, and confirm that no
abnormalities occur.

Procedure

Input Terminals to Earth Terminals

1.

Short all terminals A, B, and b on channels 1 through 10, then perform a

withstanding voltage test between the terminals and the screws on the rear panel.
Apply the voltage below, and confirm that no abnormalities occur.

Leakage of 2 mA or less at 3.7 kVrms AC for 1 minute

Between Input Terminals

2.

Perform a withstanding voltage test between a device whose terminals A and B

on channels 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 are all shorted and a device whose terminals A and
B on channels 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 are all shorted. Apply the voltage below, and
confirm that no abnormalities occur.

Leakage current of 1 mA or less at 1.0 kVrms AC for 1 minute

2.12.3 ID Check

Procedure

1.

Attach the terminals of the product to be measured.

2.

Turn the power OFF.

3.

Turn the power ON.

4.

Confirm that the terminal block is correctly identified.

2.12.4 Between-Channel Measurement Error Test

Procedure

1.

Connect the A and B terminals on all channels to a voltage generator or variable

resistor.

2.

Set the measurement interval on the module being tested to 500 ms.

3.

Confirm that the measured values for each channel are within the criteria.
