Background The RS232C interface is used for remote control
with a PC.

Connection Connect an RS232C cable from
the PC to the rear panel RS232
port.

Functionality
check Invoke a terminal application such as MTTTY
(Multi-Threaded TTY).
To check the COM port No, see the Device
Manager in the PC. For WinXP; Control panel
→ System → Hardware tab.
Run this query command via the terminal after
the instrument has been configured for RS232
remote control (page 26).
