TOLERANCE: balance software accepts mass of an ingredient if it is

within set percent tolerance of total ingredient’s mass (±%) - (data

acquired from database of products).

THRESHOLDS: the software accepts mass of an ingredient as correct if

it is within set thresholds (data acquired from database of products).

Selected relation is in effect for all ingredients in the formula making

process.

If during formula making process one of the ingredients mass shall be

excedeed (ingredient mass is not within the set percent tolerance, but it

exceeds its upper set point in relation to its target mass) upon

confirmation of ingredient mass the software shall display a message

<VALUE OUT OF RANGE, RECALCULATE THE FORMULATION?>. Upon

confirmation the software shall automatically recalculate mass of other

ingredients so that mixture proportions were correct. Option is available

when ingredients’ data of ingredients database comply with a selected

option <MEANS OF INGREDIENT VERIFICATION>, i.e. an ingredient is

specified with thresholds and <THRESHOLDS> value is selected for <

MEANS OF INGREDIENT VERIFICATION > option. For lack of unity

between data automatical recaclulation is not available, i.e. thresholds

are entered for the ingredient whereas <MEANS OF INGREDIENT

VERIFICATION> is set to value <TOLERANCE>.

Multiplier’s editing, enables making multiple mixtures according to a

selected formulation in a single weighing process:

o

YES, on selecting a formulation for processing, the software

requests for specifying multiplier’s value used for multiplying mass

of each ingredient while weighing. Inserted value is in effect for all

ingredients in the formula making process.

o

NO, inserting multiplier value is disabled, default value is set to

<1>

Printout, means of using the function is given in point 10.8. “Additional

parameters on weighing process”.

22.2. Formulation – quick access keys

Each of working modes features a set of default quick access keys which are

automatically displayed on mode activation. The set of keys can be modified

by selecting other quick access keys to the bottom bar of the display. Such

process requires appropriate operator’s access level.

22.3. Adding formulas to the Database of Formulas

Database of formulas consists of formulas names, and ingredients with names

and mass forming a formulation. Each product used for formula making

process is saved in the database of products. When preparing a formulation,

the first step requires naming the formulation, and then adding ingredient’s to

already named formulation.

The software operates intuitively, and commands a user to follow displayed

information.
