24. PIPETTE CALIBRATION
Balance allows pipette calibration by means of a special balance software or by
means of cooperation with computer software “Pipettes” intended for pipettes calibration
(workstation for pipettes calibration).
Before pipettes calibration a special set must be mounted inside the draft shield. The
set is an atypical balance equipment. See the picture below for set assembly instruction.

Calibration set assembly procedure:
•
dismantle the weighing pan and the draft shield
•
inside the chamber place:
•
pan shield (1),
•
bottom ring (2),
•
balance pan (3),
•
glass vessel (5),
•
evaporation ring (6),
•
glass shield (7),
•
supplementary shield (8),
•
or glass shield (4),
XA 3Y balance with a set for pipettes calibration:
Calibration set assembly procedure:
•
dismantle the weighing pan and the draft shield,
•
place centering ring (8) inside the chamber,
•
put glass ring (7) onto the centering ring,
•
place weighing pan (6) inside the glass ring,
•
put top ring (5) onto the glass ring,
•
put evaporation ring (4) onto the top ring (5)
•
insert calibration vessel (3) into the evaporation ring,
•
put the glass cover (2) onto the top ring,
•
put glass supplementary cover (1) onto the glass cover.
