12.

FUEL TANK:

12.1. Remove the hex nut securing the wiring harness

terminal, green wire, to the center of the fuel
level sensor using a 3/8” socket. See Figure
12.1.

12.2. Remove the terminal from the center fuel level

sensor stud.

12.3. Secure the hex nut.

12.4. Remove the wiring harness female connector,

white wire, from the fuel level sensor’s male
spade connector.

12.5. Remove the wiring harness from the fuel tank.

12.6. Make certain the fuel level is as low as possible

in the fuel tank.

NOTE: It is recommended to drain the fuel tank
for safety.

12.7. Remove both hex head tapp screws and flat

washers securing the rear portion of the fuel
tank to the lower ROPS assembly using a 1/2”
socket. See Figure 12.7.

NOTE: Loctite™ the threads and torque them
between 160 and 200 In. Lbs. during assembly.

12.8. Remove both hex head tapp screws and flat

washers securing the front portion of the fuel
tank to the front fuel tank mounting bracket using
a 1/2” socket. See Figure 12.8.

NOTE: The fuel tank will set on the right rear tire
when the hardware is removed.
