NOTE: The upper portion of the multi-piece oil
seal is a component part of the oil seal removed
from the top of the final drive housing. The oil
seal must be replaced during assembly.
See Image Below.

7.

FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY:

7.1.

Support the axle assembly from below using a
floor jack. See Figure 7.1.

7.1.

Remove both bolts and lock nuts securing the
rear bearing holder to the rear front axle mount-
ing bracket using a 3/4” wrench and a short flat-
blade screwdriver.
See Figure 7.1.

NOTE: The short flat-blade screwdriver is used
to secure the hex lock nuts from rotating.

7.2.

Remove both bolts and lock nuts securing the
front bearing holder to the foremost front axle
bracket using a 19mm socket and a short flat-
blade screwdriver. See Figure 7.2.

NOTE: The short flat-blade screwdriver is used
to secure the hex lock nuts from rotating.

7.3.

Loosen the set screw that secures the rear of the
front drive shaft to the splined output shaft at the
front of the transmission using a 5/32 allen
wrench.
