2.6.

Pry up on the rock shaft, using the hex cap
screw head as the pivot point, with the pry bar.

NOTE: This step allows the transmission cover
to be lifted away from the transmission assem-
bly.

2.7.

Remove the long hex cap screw.

2.8.

Remove the transmission housing cover from
the transmission housing using both sides of the
rock shaft as lifting points.

NOTE: Make certain the rock shaft does not
slide out of the transmission housing cover.

3.

MOTOR SHAFT SPACER:

3.1.

Secure the motor shaft spacer in position using a
shop towel. See Figure 3.1.

NOTE: The applied tension to the motor shaft
spacer will keep the remaining motor shaft com-
ponents from sliding out of the transmission
housing.

4.

PTO SHIELD:

4.1.

Remove all four hex cap screws securing the
PTO shield to the rear housing cover using a
1/2” socket. See Figure 4.1.

NOTE: Loctite™ the threads and torque them
between 160 and 200 In. Lbs. during assembly.

4.2.

Remove the PTO shield.

5.

HYDRAULIC OIL DIPSTICK:

5.1.

Remove the hydraulic oil dipstick. See Figure
5.1.
