37.7. Remove the hex cap screws securing the right

and left transmission mounting brackets to the
transmission housing using a 3/4” socket and a
15/16” socket. See Figure 37.7.

NOTE: Loctite™ the threads and torque them
between 360 and 420 In. Lbs.

37.8. Slowly raise and guide the transmission assem-

bly out of the tractor.

37.9. Raise the transmission assembly until the

engine stand can be slid over the engine mount-
ing bracket. See Figure 37.9.

37.10. Secure the transmission in an upright position on

the engine stand, locking the bracket in place
with the lock pin.

37.11. Slowly lower the transmission down until the

engine stand is supporting the transmission.

TRANSMISSION DISASSEMBLY

1.

TOP LINK BRACKET:

1.1.

Remove the hairpin and clevis pin from the top
link bracket. See Figure 1.1.

1.2.

Remove all four hex cap screws securing the top
link bracket to the transmission housing cover
using a 5/8” socket.

NOTE: Loctite™ the threads and torque them
between 220 and 280 In. Lbs. during assembly

1.3.

Remove the top link bracket.
